Nominations for the Newton Brown Award
Newton Brown was an enthusiastic, dedicated, long time member of Sir Winston Churchill Park Tennis Club. Always happy to volunteer, Newton’s generosity was greatly appreciated over the years. He was always smiling and joking around with other members during social events or between games. If he wasn’t helping out you could find him on the court hitting winners off his slices and drop shots.
The Newton Brown Award is given to a member in good standing of Sir Winston Churchill Park Tennis Club who has gone above and beyond in their contributions to SWCPTC. Please email your nomination and a description of their special character and services to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 5:00 pm November 22nd, 2013.
The Newton Brown award will be presented at the 2013 AGM.
Sir Winston Churchill Park Tennis Club (SWCPTC) is a community tennis club with ten hard courts that are floodlit for evening play, located in a beautiful park setting at the south-east corner of Spadina Road and St. Clair Avenue West. As a new member, I really enjoy the social round robins because I get to meet new players.
The winter round robins were great!
Wow, paying by credit card really made this an easy registration, so much better than a cheque! Thanks for having that option this year.
We are really looking forward to the start of the season!
