About the Club

Sir Winston Churchill Park Tennis Club (SWCPTC), is a community tennis club.  It is a non-profit organization that goes back over 50 years providing a safe, managed, and social environment for enthusiasts of tennis to the public.

Our primary objective is to promote and maintain an interest in the game of tennis within the community. Our mission is to create an environment that fosters maximum participation, skill development and enjoyment through social, casual and competitive tennis.

SWCPTC is located in Sir Winston Churchill Park situated at the south-east corner of Spadina Road and St. Clair Avenue West.  We have ten hard courts that are floodlit for evening play.

Our clubhouse is currently being renovated.  Staff are located outside our clubhouse at this time for member check-in.  The public washrooms are open for use.

The courts and clubhouse are held under license from the City of Toronto, Department of Parks and Recreation. The Club is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities.

Our membership fees goes towards maintenance of the specialized court surface, provision of support services, and ancillary equipment that allows all players to experience the best playing environment as possible.

Everyone is welcome to join the club and we also offer public hours., and even as a non-member anyone can play during club time for a small guest fee. (During this time of COVID-19 reopening we cannot allow guests).

SWCPTC is a member of Tennis Toronto of the Ontario Tennis Association, the official governing body of tennis in Ontario.

League memberships are maintained in the Toronto Ladies Tennis League (Women’s Doubles) and the Intercounty Tennis Association (Mixed).

As a long time institution in the park we are open to all whether they play tennis or not.
